Dreams Do Come True
We all have dreams; some monumentally huge and others just tiny little daydreams. They're what keep us going and makes us want to get up in the morning. They're what make us go beyond our limits and reach for the stars. They're the fuel to our fires, the spark of our determination.
Have you ever considered what it takes to make a dream come true though? It's not just waiting around for it to happen to you one day and it's definitely not hoping someone else will make it happen for you.
Your dreams are yours and yours alone, if you don't make them happen who will?
Take me for example. A dream I've been pursuing for the last 3 years finally came true Saturday morning. I received an email that I'm going to be featured in one of my favorite magazines, Greencraft. To say I was excited was an understatement! But this wasn't just an out-of-nowhere achievement that was handed to me on a silver platter.
Nope, I had to work for it. I began submitting my work to the magazine two years ago and had several submissions returned unsuccessfully. But did that stop me? Hell no!! I kept on crafting, improved my submission skills and continued pursuing the magazine.
When our dreams become tangible goals with real, achievable milestones we being to see the impossible as possible. The things we want and dream about now have a clear road map for us to follow.
So what's your dream?
Is your road map securely in front of you or are you floundering on the side of the road with a flat tire?
Is your dream in the back of your mind with "someday" attached to it or is it at the forefront of your mind cheering with each step you take?
The best advice I can give you is to be persistent. Pursue your dreams with such passion and vigor that no one ever doubts you'll reach them. Make your dreams a reality and never stop until you've reached them.
Be proud of the baby steps you make and celebrate your failures; each is a necessary step to your success.
And most importantly; believe in yourself and in your dreams, each will take you far.
'Til next time,
Misty
