DIY Teacup Planter Tutorial
Skill Level: Beginner
Time needed: 30 minutes
Spring is such an inspiring time to create and I’m always looking for ways to bring more of mother nature’s beauty inside. This adorable teacup planter is so easy and only takes a few supplies to make. It’s perfect for decorating your space or giving as a gift. How many will you make?
Supplies:
Clean and dry water bottle
Scissors
Utility knife
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Cardboard
Twine rope
Paper flower and leaves
Cut the drink spout off of the bottle.
Cut the bottom of the bottle off about 4” from the top. Discard the bottom portion.
Cut a piece of cardboard 1” in diameter bigger than the widest part of your bottle.
Cut a hole in the center of the cardboard the size of the spout hole. This will allow drainage if you wish to use live plants.
Wrap one side of the cardboard in twine rope, leaving the hole open.
Wrap the outside of your bottle in twine rope.
Adhere the bottle spout into the cardboard hole.
Cut a 3-4” piece of twine rope.
Adhere the piece of twine rope to the side of your cup to create a handle.
Adhere a paper flower and two leaves to the front of the cup if desired.
