Gel skins are a quick and easy way to create translucent image transfers. Have a printed image you want to put on a jar or use as a glassy wall hanging? Create a gel skin!
Below I’ll go over their easy creation with step-by-step instructions. This easy DIY craft is perfect for beginners who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Supplies:
Paper image
Brush
Scissors
Sandpaper
Water
Cut out your image and place on a non-porous surface.
Add a layer of gel medium over the image and let dry.
Repeat step two 1-2 more times.
Buff the back of the image with sandpaper.
Use a small amount of water and your fingers to rub the paper backing off of the image. Be careful not to use to much water, the gel medium doesn’t like it.
Wipe the image off with a dry paper towel and let air dry.
