Your Best Life

There's a fine line between what we want to do and what we actually do. "Life", as we say, has a way of pushing us farther and farther into the later when really all we want is to be happily blissed out doing the first all day every day.

Which brings me to my question...are you living your best life? Do you do the things that make your spirt sore, happiness light up your smile and gratitude fill your heart?

Sounds fabulous right? Doing everything that makes you happy and leaving all that other stuff behind. But are you ACTUALLY doing it? Are you changing your life to get to that point? Are you putting yourself in a position to be where you WANT to be?

Or have you been sucked into the spiraling vortex of a "life" of materialistic demands?

You know, that place where the demands of "life" force you into patterns of staleness and you have no idea how you even wound up there in the first place.

"I hate my job but can't leave because I need the money".

"I can't travel because I can't take time off work".

"I can't put myself out there because I'm not good enough".

Can you see what all these things have in common?

You guessed it, because.

We use "because" as an excuse mechanism. We use excuses when we really don't want something bad enough or when we're unhappy with something but unwilling to make the changes. It's so much easier to blame someone or something else, isn't it?

But (and be 100% honest with yourself here) does that really improve the situation? Does it get you closer to what you really want? Does it help you live your best life?

Nope, not usually right! It might make you feel better for a second but it's not going to fix the problems.

We're all trying to live our best lives and sometimes it's pretty hard. The demands of the world and "life" just wear us down.

That doesn't mean they have to win though does it?

So take a deep breath and a step back. Find some place soothing and quite and ask yourself...are you living your best life? If not, what can you do to change that? Don't forget to question all of your excuses. That'll probably be the hardest part but you can do it. I know you can!!!

So go, find that happiness, LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!

'til next time,

Misty
