Transform Your Art in the New Abstract Collage Workshop
New Workshop
Have you heard about my new workshop, Abstract Collage? I’m really excited about this one, it’s been a long time in the making.
Many of you may not know but workshops take a lot of planning and behind the scenes time to create, especially now that the new studio is ready, and I can up my filming game. Boy, is the new studio a game changer. I feel more at home here, more ready to create and share with all of you.
Over the past year, I’ve felt drawn back to my mixed media roots, but have been taking my time easing back in while waiting for the new studio to be up and running.
Creative Distractions
For a long while now, my creative flow and my business have been pulling me in different directions and things have felt stressful, not quite right and unsatisfying.
I took a while to really look at what was going on. First and foremost, I absolutely love to create pretty much anything and trying new things is always so much fun but while concentrating on my blog and trying to grow my business audience I lost my focus on myself and my passions. I was constantly trying to come up with new projects to share and not creating for the love of it.
I took some time to work through some tough decisions and made much-needed changes. I’ve fallen in love with mixed media all over again and am now creating beautiful pieces that I love and would hang in my own home.
Finding Myself
My art now feels more in tune with my love of color and nature. Over the years nature has become a huge part of my life. I hike and explore whenever I can. I have a gorgeous flower garden that constantly brings joy to my heart, and I let the world around me inspire my art with floral, botanical and nature themes.
You’re probably asking how any of this relates to my new workshop, right? Well, my love of mixed media has finally led me to create this exciting new workshop, chalk full of techniques and lovely art pieces.
I've let go of the things I was doing just because I thought it was what others wanted and have poured my heart back into my real passion of creating beautiful mixed media art and helping others, like you, do the same.
I’m turning inwards, creating art that not only inspires you but myself as well and I’m allowing my passion to flow through my art. It's very rewarding and therapeutic.
So, for me, this workshop is much more than a simple workshop. It’s a new direction and a return home all at once.
I would love for you to join me on your creative journey!
