Stuck in a Rut

Lately I've been feeling incredibly uninspired. Deep down I don't believe "uninspired" is the real problem though. Stress, being pulled in too many directions, unhappiness in other areas of life, emotional challenges and losing myself to all of the propaganda are far more likely the culprits.

It's called life right, we all face it's challenges and ride it's endless currents.

I want to create more than anything, I have the desire but ideas aren't raining down upon me. Doesn't help that when something does pop up I'm no longer interested or I'm far too exhausted to do anything about it.

To say I'm feeling out-of-sorts with myself is an understatement. My priorities/ responsibilities (not the good ones) are taking over and I'm not being true to myself. It's a rough way to be.

Luckily, I'm on vacation this week and it's the perfect time to re-prioritize and get myself back to LOVE & BALANCE, the place I'm so desperately seeking.

Love and balance with my life,

Balance with what I'm doing daily,

Love with myself.

Love with my creative spirit,

Love and balance with the people around me,

Balance with my priorities and time,

Love with nature.

And the easiest way back to LOVE & BALANCE you might ask?

Doing more of what I love!

Enjoying what I love!

Being inspired by the things I love!

It's as simple as that.

I'm taking the week to hike to beautiful places with great friends, clean out the spaces where I spend most of my time, focus on what's really important, look for inspiration everywhere I go and try old hobbies in creative new ways.

It's only my first "official" day of vacation and I already feel lighter, more at peace and if you can believe it, more productive and energized.

So if life's doing it's thing and you find yourself in a rut take a step back, breath. Find some space/time and get back to those things that you LOVE!

I promise you won't be disappointed.

'til next time,

Misty
