DIY Holiday Candle Tutorial

Skill Level: Beginner

Time needed: 15 minutes

I love trying new things, it’s the greatest thing ever! Especially when it comes to crafting. I love getting to personalize things and making them more “me” friendly and it’s always such a blast to see the results. I found out recently that you can use candles (or wax) and napkins (or paper) to make personalized candles (or vellum sheets). I know isn’t that crazy! So of course, I had to give it a try. These DIY candles are so quick and easy to make, I wish I’d have discovered this years ago, they’d make fantastic gifts any time of year.

Supplies:

Wax candle

Heat gun or high temp blow-dryer

Napkin

DIY Holiday Candle
  1. Peel the napkin layers apart. You only need one layer.

  2. Wrap the napkin around the candle.

  3. Turn on the heat source and hold close to the candle.

  4. As the wax heats up and starts to melt it will absorb into the napkin before drying.

  5. Run the heat source over the entire candle moving as the wax melts until the napkin is completely adhered to the candle.

Happy Crafting,
